Striped knit stockings

Set of 4 size 5 mm (U.S. 8) double-pointed knitting needles
or size
needed to obtain gauge. 8” [20.5 cm] satin ribbon.

Stripe Pat
1st to 5th rnds:
With B, knit.
6th to 10th rnds
: With A, knit.
These 10 rnds form Stripe Pat.
With A, cast on 64 sts. Divide sts over 3 needles as (20, 20, 24), placing
marker at beg of rnd.
1st rnd:
*K2. P2. Rep from * around.
Rep last rnd of (K2. P2) ribbing until work from beg measures 3” [7.5 cm].
Proceed in Stripe Pat until work from beg measures approx 14½” [37 cm],
ending with 2 rnds of B.
Heel: 1st row:
With B, K16. Slip these 16 sts and last 16 sts from previous
rnd onto 1 needle for heel, having beg of rnd marker in center. Leave rem
32 sts on 2 needles for instep.
With WS facing and A, proceed across 32 heel sts:
1st row:
(WS). Sl1P. Purl to end of row.
2nd row:
Sl1. Knit to end of row. Rep last 2 rows until heel measures 2” [5 cm],
ending with WS row.
Shape heel: 1st row:
(RS). Sl1. K19. ssk. K1.
Turn.
2nd row:
Sl1P. P10. P2tog. P1.
Turn.
3rd row:
Sl1. K11. ssk. K1.
Turn.
4th row:
Sl1P. P12. P2tog. P1.
Turn.
5th row:
Sl1. K13. ssk. K1.
Turn.
6th row:
Sl1P. P14. P2tog. P1.
Turn.
7th row:
Sl1. K15. ssk. K1.

2nd needle, K32 across instep sts. With 3rd needle, pick up and knit 12 sts
along right side of heel. K10 heel sts onto 3rd needle. Slip rem 10 sts of heel
onto beg of 1st needle. 76 sts divided as: (22, 32, 22). 3rd rnd of Stripe Pat
is completed.
Cont in Stripe Pat, proceed as follows:
1st rnd:
1st needle:
Knit to last 3 sts.
K2tog. K1.
2nd needle:
Knit.
3rd needle:
K1. ssk. Knit to end of needle.
2nd rnd:
Knit.
Rep last 2 rnds to 64 sts, divided as: (16, 32,16).
Cont even in Stripe Pat until work from pick up rnd
measures approx 5½”
[14 cm],
ending with 5 rnds of B. Break B.
Shape toe: 1st rnd:
1st needle:
With A, knit to last 3 sts. K2tog. K1.
2nd needle:
K1. ssk. Knit to last 3 sts. K2tog. K1.
3rd needle:
K1. ssk. Knit to
end of needle.
2nd rnd:
Knit.
Rep last 2 rnds to 32 sts. Graft 2 sets of 16 sts tog.

Fold satin ribbon in half and sew to top of Stocking

Crochet Bikini pattern

BOTTOM
Back:
Ch 63.
1st row: 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch to end of ch. 62 sc. Turn.
2nd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Turn.
Rep last row 7 times more.
Back shaping: 1st row: (RS). Draw up a loop in each of first 2 sts. Yoh and draw through all loops on hook – sc2tog made. 1 sc in each sc to last 2 sc. Sc2tog over last 2 sc. Turn.
2nd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each st to end of row. Turn.
Rep last 2 rows until there are 14 sc, ending with RS facing for next row.
Next row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Turn.
Rep last row 19 times more.
Front shaping: Next row: Ch 1. 2 sc in first sc. 1 sc in each sc to last sc. 2 sc in last sc. Turn.
Next 2 rows: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Turn.
Rep last 3 rows 13 times more. 42 sc. Fasten off.
Back Edging and Side Ties: 1st row: Ch 55. With RS of work facing, sl st in first ch of foundation ch on Back. Ch 1. 1 sc in each ch of foundation ch. Ch 56. Turn.
2nd row: Sl st in 2nd ch from hook. Sl st in each of next 54 ch. 1 sc in each sc across Back. sl st in each of next 55 ch. Fasten off.
Rep for Front Edging and Side Ties.
Leg Edging: 1st row: With RS of work facing, join yarn with sl st to Front Side edge where Tie is joined. Ch 1. Work 1 row of sc evenly along Leg Opening. Turn.
2nd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc to end of row. Fasten off.
Rep for second Leg Edging, joining yarn with sl st to Back Side edge where tie is joined.
Thread invisible elastic through last sc row of Back, Front and Leg Edgings.
